Walnut Grove Public Library Relocates to Temporary Location
(07.05.11) Walnut Grove Public Library
has relocated just north of the current library to 155 Main
Street in the old Upton Motors Building. The
library is scheduled to re-open the week of July 11, 2011.

Project Awarded
(06.2011) Richard Womack
Construction of Mendenhall was the low-bidder and awarded the
Walnut Grove Public Library Renovation and Auditorium
Expansion Project. The project calls for the renovation
of existing facilities with expansion of a children's reading
wing, a genealogy and historical collection room, and
community auditorium. The $639,000 project is funded
with a Small Municipalities and Limited Populations Grant and
Capital Improvement Loan through the State of Mississippi.

Signage
(05.2011) Candidates, homeowners, and others are reminded
advertising and signage is prohibited in the public
right-of-way on Mississippi Highways and municipal streets.
These include election signs, real estate or other
sales/service type advertising. It is
also against state law to post signs on utility poles.
