Walnut Grove Municipal Court have jurisdiction over misdemeanor crimes, municipal ordinances and city traffic violations. Municipal judges may conduct initial appearances in which defendants are advised of the charges being filed, as well as bond hearings and preliminary hearings.

There are 226 Municipal Courts. Most municipalities have one municipal judge, although a few jurisdictions have several.  Most municipal judges are appointed by governing bodies of municipalities. Terms of office vary. 

Walnut Grove Municipal Court is heldy monthly on the 2nd Wednesday of each Month and
additionally as needed.   Fines and related costs may be paid Monday - Friday  8am - 5pm in the Municipal Clerk's Office  of Town Hall at 139 Main St.

Walnut Grove's Municipal Judge is the Hon. Evan Thompson.  The Municipal Court Clerk is Michelle D. Anderson.
