The
Public Works Department of the Town of Walnut Grove has
responsibility for safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the
natural gas system, municipal water system, and sewer system.
The department is also responsible for maintaining streets, public
grounds and parks trash and rubbish collection, municipal buildings
upkeep and maintenance, and many more activities. Day-to-day Operations are lead by Public Works Director Jason Gilbert with support of a 4-member staff with additional labor supplied through community service program and MDOC trustee program. Gilbert also serves Inventory Manager and Purchasing Agent for the Municipality and also serves as Deputy Volunteer Fire Chief.
