 Public Works

The Town of Walnut Grove’s  Public Works has four fulltime employees.  Day to Day operations are lead by Town Manager Brent King. Personnel on the most part generally work where needed. The Public Works Department installs and repairs water and sewer lines, operates and maintains the natural gas system, maintains streets, cuts grass, cleans ditches, installs culverts, maintains the town’s four water wells and three elevated storage tanks, keeps litter picked up,  collects household trash and rubbish, maintains the town’s equipment and numerous other duties when called for.

The goal of our Public Works Department is to provide services to enhance the quality of life for the citizens and businesses of the Town of Walnut Grove.

Rates:    $ 8.00 minimum up to 2000 gallons.  $ 0.20 per 100 gallons thereafter

GAS SYSTEM

Deposit:  $ 150.00

Tap Fee $ 150.00

Gas:   $ 11.96 minimum up to 1000 cubic feet

          then $ 1.04 per 100 cubic feet up to 4000 cubic feet

          then $ 0.91 per 100 up to 45,000 cubic feet

          then $ 0.84 per 100 up to 999,999 cubic feet
